Assessment of progress
Sharing of your child's progress both formally and informally will be ongoing throughout their time at preschool.
An individual profile of your child's progress and development will be maintained and regularly updated. This will include art work, photos and learning stories of significant happenings. It is available for you to view at any time. We encourage you to add your voice to the children's profiles through your own stories, quotes, photos and experiences, reflecting the learning and development that has occurred during the time at preschool.
Should you require some extra advice, assistance or wish to share information with us then please feel free to ask for some time to be set aside.

Communication with parents
The preschools aim to make communication with parents as open, regular and informative as possible. We recognise that while parents are interested in all aspects of the preschools they are often restricted by time. We have therefore implemented a variety of communication methods:
- Infants and toddlers diary provides two-way communication between staff and parents.
- Monthly newsletters.
- Programme planning is displayed daily for parents to view.
- Nappy changes, toileting, sleep and bottle times are recorded in information books.
- Whiteboards / Notice boards communicate any important messages for parents / caregivers.
- Parents will be asked to participate in children’s individual profiles regularly.
- Parent libraries at both preschools contain copies of our charter and all policy documentation.
Parents responsibility
Parents/caregivers are fully responsible for the safety and well-being of their child/ren at all times including settling in, dropping off and collecting, parent evenings and the Christmas party.
Notice for leaving
We require two weeks notice before you cancel your permanent booking. This is required in order to plan staffing and manage the waiting list.
Complaints procedure
Should you have a concern regarding any aspect of your child’s care or education, please talk directly with the teacher concerned. If this proves unsuccessful in resolving the issue please feel free to contact Tonia.
